1CanSkate

Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program for beginners of all ages that teaches fundamental movements (go forward, go backward, stop, turn, spin and jump) and basic skills. The CanSkate Program emphasizes fun and continuous movement and is taught in a group lesson format. CanSkate is a feeder program to all other Skate Canada Programs.

2 Skate Canada's STARSkate Program

Offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating. Unique in Canada, this program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. 3Competitive Skate Program

A testing program for skaters in singles, pairs and dance wishing to compete in qualifying events within Skate Canada.The Skate Canada Competitive Program can be fun and challenging for athletes seeking to hone their skills in a competitive environment.  From the Juvenile to Senior level, there are several opportunities throughout the season to participate in competitive events.

Adult Skating

Adult skating has taken the world by storm! Following the lead of the USFSA, Skate Canada has been actively involved in the development of adult skating this past season, and continues to examine the needs of the adult component of the Canadian figure skating market.

5 CanPowerSkate

Which provides an alternative to figure skating, focuses on teaching balance, power, agility, speed and endurance skills which are especially important for hockey and ringette players. CanPowerSkate will teach skaters to develop and improve both their personal style of skating plus improve the biomechanical efficiency of their skating. Synchronized Skating

Synchronized skating, or "synchro" is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of twelve or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. The objective is for the team to perform as one unit executing circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison to the music, while demonstrating quality edges, power and flow.More
