Learn to Skate with

CanSkate

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

:

  The CanSkate program focuses 

  on the development of six

  fundemental movements

  organized in six stages of

  learning, with an optional

  7th level for skaters who

  want to move into figure

  skating.

  The skills are arranged in

  progressions, from very simple

  to more complex.  Each stage

  has a promary focus.  Once the

  skills of one stage are

  mastered, a badge is

  awarded,   fundemental,   

  Movement badges and Fitness

  badges.

  Stage 1 - Balance

  Stage 2 - Glide Forward

  Stage 3 - Glide Backwards

  Stage 4 - Edges

  Stage 5 - Power

  Stage 6 - Speed

  Stage 7 (optional)

Section Office Move Details

The Section Office is now in our Interim Space on the 2nd Floor at 1271 Sargent Avenue, North East Corner of Sargent and Empress St.   - UniSelect Bldg.

Further details will follow once we have made our final move to 145 Pacific Avenue.  MAIL address is still being sent to Skate Canada Manitoba, 200 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4 M2.

Phone and Fax Numbers will not change.  Emails will stay the same as previously sent out and on our Contact Page.
